Southland crime: Burglars steal electronics and frozen chicken from Frankfort restaurant, and more
The following items were taken from police reports and news releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: Keishawn Jones, 27, of Dolton, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, no insurance and was ticketed for possession of marijuana Jan. 4 in the 10600 block of Harlem Avenue, police said.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Muhamad Yahia, 52, of Chicago Ridge, was arrested and accused of domestic battery after a Jan. 8 incident in the 7000 block of West 99th Street, police said.
AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Justin Fredericksen, 20, of the 100 block of Michael Lane, New Lenox, was arrested and accused of aggravated speeding and no insurance Dec. 28 at Bruce and Meader Roads, police said.
DUI ARREST: Anil Patel, 45, of the 1200 block of Julia Drive, Romeoville, was arrested and accused of drunken driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a Jan. 1 crash at 143rd Street and Lemont Road, police said.
BATTERY ARREST: Craig Padgett, 45, of the 15600 block of Lamon Avenue, Oak Forest, was arrested and accused of battery after spitting on another man during a Jan. 7 road rage incident in the 16100 block of Oak Park Avenue, police said.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Donte Williams, 25, of Dolton, was arrested and accused of domestic battery after a Jan. 12 incident at the Circle K in the 5600 block of 159th Street, police said.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: Mya Bell, 20, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and speeding Jan. 12 in the 14900 block of Central Avenue, police said.
THEFT: Someone stole a catalytic converter and an oxygen sensor from a car parked in the 15800 block of Terrace Drive on Jan. 13, police said.
WEAPONS ARREST: Jeremiah James, 23, of the 100 block of Williamsburg Road, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and was ticketed for other traffic offenses after police found a loaded handgun in the pocket of his sweatpants during a Jan. 13 stop at 160th Street and LeClaire Avenue, police said. James does not have a concealed carry permit, according to a police report.
STOLEN CAR: A Plainfield man told police someone stole his 2013 Dodge Avenger when it was parked in the 14500 block of Walden on Jan. 15.
WEAPONS ARREST: DeJon Oliver-Ballard, 23, of the 9200 block of Hunter Drive, Orland Hills, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, failure to signal when required, driving on a suspended license, no insurance and illegal possession of marijuana after police discovered a loaded handgun in his car during a Dec. 13 traffic stop at 94th Avenue and Georgetown Square, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Anasia Starks, 18, of Riverdale, was arrested and accused of retail theft and possession of an anti-theft device remover after stealing merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods in Orland Park Place mall on Dec. 16, police said.
FELONY THEFT: Maurice Walker, 57, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of felony retail theft after stealing more than $1,200 worth of merchandise from Macy’s in Orland Square Mall Dec. 22, police said.
DUI ARREST: Nakia Jackson-Roddy, 45, of Bourbonnais, was arrested and accused of drunken driving and no license plate Dec. 23 outside of P.F. Chang’s in the 14100 block of LaGrange Road, police said.
DUI ARREST: Angel Gonzalez-Vizueth, 27, of the 14400 block of Jefferson Avenue, Orland Park, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give notice of an accident, improper lane usage and abandoning a vehicle off a highway Dec. 23 in the 14300 block of Wolf Road, police said.
DUI ARREST: Connor Brown, 25, of the 15500 block of Frances Lane, Orland Park, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, no insurance, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving the wrong way around a traffic circle Dec. 23 after driving through the center of a roundabout and hitting an electric box at 151st Street and West Avenue, police said.
WARRANT ARREST: Datren Brown, 27, of Elgin, was arrested and accused of reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, speeding more than 35 mph above the speed limit, no insurance and driving with only one headlight Dec. 25 at 143rd and LaGrange Road, police said. Brown was also processed on an outstanding warrant from DuPage County for failure to appear, according to a police report.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: Montero Rice, 28, of the 10300 block of Ridgeland Avenue, Chicago Ridge, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license Jan. 11 in the 6400 block of West College Drive, police said.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: Gabriel Trojanowski, 23, of Orland Park, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, leaving the scene of an accident and was ticketed for other traffic offenses after a Jan. 7 crash in the 9700 block of Cambridge Court, police said.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: William Lombardi, 42, of Palos Hills, was arrested and accused of criminal damage to property and was processed on three outstanding warrants following a Jan. 10 incident in the 10400 block of Vicky Lane, police said.
WARRANT ARREST: Ryan Klimczak, 28, of Burbank, was processed on an outstanding bond forfeiture warrant out of DuPage County and was also accused of disorderly conduct, public intoxication and failing to disperse after a Jan. 16 incident in the 10100 block of Roberts Road, police said.
STOLEN CAR: Police said a resident of the 18000 block of Pineprairie Drive witnessed five unknown people opening unlocked cars in their driveway and rummaging through the interior on Dec. 28 in Frankfort Township. The suspects arrived in a gray Hyundai and a dark-colored pickup truck. By the time police arrived, the truck had fled the scene and the Hyundai had been left running on the road.
A resident across the street then woke up and saw the police cars parked outside at his neighbor’s home and discovered his 2018 Ford Raptor had been stolen from his driveway. That victim told police the truck had been left unlocked with the keys inside. Chicago police later recovered the Ford Raptor undamaged in the 5000 block of South Loomis.
A check revealed the gray Hyundai’s license plate had been reported stolen from Evanston and the car itself had been stolen from Romeoville.
BUSINESS BURGLARY: The owner of Tony’s Villa Rosa, 7717 W. St. Francis Road, Frankfort, told police someone shattered the windows of the restaurant and stole $100, a Facebook portal, a Samsung tablet, a receipt printer and five bags of frozen chicken on Jan. 2.
ASSAULT ARREST: Marvin Rankins, 35, of the 1900 block of East 73rd Place, Chicago, was arrested and accused of aggravated assault, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest and obstructing justice after a Dec. 28 incident on Meadowlark Lane in Washington, police said.
STOLEN GUN: Police said someone stole a gun from an unlocked car parked in the 1000 block of East Eagle Lake Road in Washington on Dec. 28.
Country Club Hills
RESISTING ARREST: Vernon M. Gipson, 38, Chicago, was arrested and accused of resisting a peace officer during a Dec. 28 domestic-disturbance investigation in the 4300 block of 183rd Street, police said.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Jamesisha D. Harper, 28, 16800 block of Western Avenue, Hazel Crest, was arrested and accused of disorderly conduct Dec. 28 at the Wal-Mart Supercenter, 4005 168th Place, after harassing employees, police said.
NO LICENSE: Krystle S. Chalmers, 24, 17800 block of Harvard Lane, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license and driving without insurance Dec. 29 in the 18000 block of Crawford Avenue, police said.
ASSAULT: Jesse B. Allen, 60, Chicago, was arrested and accused of two counts of aggravated assault Dec. 31 after threatening to kill two people who had accompanied him to the Country Club Hills police station lobby, police said. The trio were seeking a police escort to remove Allen’s belongings from a local residence, police said.
VANDALISM: Fernando A. Burrage, 41, 3400 block of Hickory Lane, Hazel Crest, was arrested and accused of criminally damaging property after throwing a brick through a residential window during a Dec. 31 domestic-disturbance investigation in the 3900 block of 168th Street, police said.
ASSAULT: Joseph C. Price, 47, 3900 block of 178th Place, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of aggravated assault and trespassing Jan. 1 in the 3800 block of Highland Place after ignoring a no-trespassing order at a home and attempting to stab a resident, police said.
BATTERY: Angelique Davis, 24, Joliet, was arrested and accused of battery Jan. 5 at a department store in the 17500 block of Halsted Street after hitting another person in the face during an argument, police said.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: Keilan Faulkner, 20, 3300 block of Fountainbleau Drive, Hazel Crest, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and improper lighting Jan. 5 at 183rd Street and Sacramento Avenue, police said.
DUI: Khalil Daniels, 34, 4900 block of 187th Street, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of drunken driving with a blood-alcohol concentration above the legal limit, failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision and illegally transporting alcohol Jan. 6 at Riegel and Willow roads, police said.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: Mercedes Fleming, 29, Sauk Village, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and violating seat belt law Jan. 6 at 183rd Street and Francisco Avenue, police said.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: Tierra Green, 25, 4500 block of Heartland Drive, Richton Park, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and expired registration Jan. 6 in the 18200 block of Governors Highway, police said.
